"Scrappy Monday" Sketch challenge!

Hello Everyone,

Well Emma has another Scrappy Monday Sketch Challenge. I have wanted to scrapbook this picture forever, it is of my 2 1/2 year old holding his newborn brother in the hospital the day after he was born. (Emma's last Scrappy Monday I created an 8 x 8 layout of my 5 year old holding his brother same baby same day it was July 4, 1989) My girlfriend was so kind to snap these pictures. I used the Paper Studio 8 x 8 Baby Boy Collection. I used some of the die cuts from the collection. I also used some nestabilities and punches. The clipboard is a cricut cut.
Here is my 8 x 8 layout:

Sorry the pic is a little dark. Not so in person I just couldn't get a good picture. If you see arms in the picture it is my husband helping. All I have to do is journal and this page is complete.  I am lovin these challenges, thanks Emma.

Here is the sketch:

Have a fabulous day,

The doily is a Cheery Lynn Design - French Pastry. The greeting is from MCT Many Greetings (a go to stamp set for me with lots of nice sentiments). I finished it off with some seam binding, brads and copics on the drink.

Challenge Me Monday #116

Hello Everyone,

Well it is time again for another Challenge Me Monday over at Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog.

Blue Bells

Make a project with bells, church or cross and include the color blue.

Here is my project:

I cut the cross out at 4" from the Indie Art Cartridge.( it has 3different  layers).  This card is the standard A2 size. I also used the wall paper Stampin' up embossing folder, dazzling diamonds, lacey oval from Spellbinders, broken china distressed ink and sheer ribbon.

Now stop by and see what the rest of the design team has to inspire you. Then create a project for this challenge and show us what you create.  Don't forget to have at lease one cricut cut.

Happy Crafting,

#114
Don't Bug me
Create a project using some sort of bug!
Remember it must contain 1 cricut cut.

For my project I created this Flip flop card also known as a swing card. I found the directions for this at Splitcoaststampers.

Here is my project:

Cute as a bug was cut 3" and from Just Because cards.I also used the lacey oval die from nestibilities and and edge punch from Stampin' up.  This is what you see on front.
Here is what you see when it swings:

The worm is cut at 2.5" and from Create a Critter. The birthday wishes is also from Stampin' up. I finished it off with bling, stitching and an action wobble.

Now it is your turn. Create a project for this challenge and link it up at FCCB so  we can be inspired by you

Throwback Thursday

Hello Everyone,

I am entering Emma's Throwback Challenge

Here are the details for her challenge:
~ Must make an altered item using your Cricut cuts!
~Must use any OLDER Cartridge of YOUR choice
~ Deadline for this challenge is June 6th @ midnight PST

I altered a wooden frame. Here is what it looked like before I began:
First I painted it with gesso then a coat of  vintage white. I used my gypsy to cut out the pattern paper. I used 2 squares from George and basic shapes. Then I used Fancy Frames  and cut out the black frame I used on the pattern paper. I cut it out at 4.75 on the height and 6.75 for the width. I had to take the aspect ratio link off to achieve that size to fit the fame nice. I just love this cartridge. Finished it off with some prima flowers, Emma rolled flower die, pearls, distressing and leaf found in Create a Critter. Also distressing is done with black
Thanks for stopping by,
